Earlier this week, Stephanie Dosen of Tiny Owl Knits released The Bee Keeper's Quilt pattern, and, I've got to say, I've got a bee in my bonnet about this thing. Puffy three-dimensional hexagons? The knitted equivalent of bubble wrap, squooshy and soft? Instant swoon. Bring me my fainting couch!
Embroidery. I kind of love it. And I kind of never ever want to do it for fear it will sink its hooks into me and I will never see the light of day again. Because I would then not be able to resist the urge to embroider life-size copies of Ernst Haeckel zoological prints. For the rest of my life.
